Hagar: God Sees Me
This message was shared on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at First Christian Church in Wilmington, Illinois.
In today's sermon, Pastor Jason shares about Hagar, a marginalized figure in the Bible, and emphasized that God sees everyone, especially in their moments of struggle and despair. Hagar faced immense challenges as a slave but was noticed by God when she felt isolated and broken, showing that everyone has value and purpose in God’s eyes. The message highlighted the importance of recognizing our worth and that we are called to be promise bearers in faith, much like Hagar. Ultimately, Jason reminds us that God is always present, sees us in our pain, and offers hope and direction, encouraging everyone to embrace their identity as children of God.
