Adonijah vs. Solomon

First Kings Chapter One tells of the story of Adonijah and his pursuit for King David's throne, which was supported by many, but not by God. Adonijah's story is a microcosm of the main theme in Kings that contrasts lives that are lived for God versus those that refuse. The story encourages us to wholeheartedly follow God, to seek God first, and not wait until things are a mess to do so.
