The Council at Jerusalem

Aug 9, 2023    Ryan Leachman, Don Lund

In Acts chapter fifteen, we see some people come from Judea to Antioch, preaching that everyone must be circumcised and follow the law of Moses to be saved. In reaction, Paul and Barnabas leave for Jerusalem to meet with the elders and apostles to get all of this sorted. After discussing all that had happened, Peter declares that it is by grace that we are saved. The council then writes a letter for all of the gentile believers in Antioch to help guide them. The chapter ends with Paul and Barnabas disagreeing over bringing Mark on another journey, and they go different ways.
