Paul Before Felix
The high priest and several Jewish leaders go to Caesarea to plead their case against Paul to Felix, the governor. The Jewish leaders bring several accusations against Paul, yet they cannot prove any. Felix decides to wait for the commander to arrive, then he will decide Paul's fate. Paul is given some freedom but is detained until Felix decides. Felix visits Paul multiple times, asking Him about Jesus. However, Felix was hoping that Paul would bribe him, and not wanting to upset the Jewish community, Felix left Paul in prison and was eventually succeeded by Porcius Festus.
