Second Kings chapter nine...Elisha annoints Jehu king, and kills the King Joram of Israel, King Ahaziah of Judah, and Jezebel. This is a reflection of God's judgement and prophesy for wicked leadership including idolization. Their deaths remind us of the consequences of hearts given to other gods that lead to death. Obedience to God gives peace, life, and life eternal. Turn our hearts to God today, resist temptation and wickedness, and experience the true peace of God.
