2025 FCC CHILI COOK-OFF
FCC is having our annual church-wide chili cook-off on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 6:00-8:30 pm.
Do you have an award winning chili recipe? Or maybe it's your mom's special chili? Enter the chili cook-off and let us be the judge. As we sample each chili entree we will be enjoying a night full of laughs and fellowship. Invite your family and friends!

CHILI COOK-OFF RULES
General Overview:
FCC will provide the following:
Participants will supply:
Judging:
Cooking Rules:
Ingredients:
- There is no fee to enter this event.
- If entered in the FCC Chili Cook-off held on Friday, February 7th at 6:00 pm, you are required to prepare your chili recipe prior to the event. Access to electricity will be provided at the event to keep chili within proper temperature range until served. Crockpots and roasters are encouraged, but will not be provided by event staff.
- Each participant is required to prepare at least a full crockpot's worth of chili.
FCC will provide the following:
- Access to electricity
- Gloves
- Serving utensils
- Sampling cups, spoons, & napkins
- Hand sanitizer
- Trash cans
Participants will supply:
- Warming vessel (crockpot, roaster, etc.)
- Prepared chili for at least a full crockpot's worth of chili.
Judging:
- Criteria for judging includes: appearance, originality, texture, and flavor
- Judging will be conducted by those in attendance
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards will be given to the overall winners
Cooking Rules:
- Single entry or teams welcome.
- Contestants must furnish their own ingredients for prepared chili and warming vessel.
- First Christian Church will provide spoons, cups and napkins for serving to those in attendance.
- Chili will be prepared off-site and brought already cooked to the church.
Ingredients:
- Use your favorite recipe, with or without meat, with or without beans.
- Meat may be beef, pork, lamb, chicken, turkey or venison.
- Vegetarian chili is also acceptable.
- Beans are encouraged but not mandatory. Pre-cooked beans are acceptable.
- Ingredients may be cut, shredded or ground to any size.
