Praise
This sermon was preached on 07/16/23 at First Christian Church in Wilmington, Illinois.
Psalm 30 finds us at the end of David's battles, peace was all around him. Instead of praising God, he began counting his men, his money, his possessions; never realizing that his security can only be found in God. He then turned to God and found forgiveness, redemption and he praised! When we repent of our sins, ask for mercy from the punishment we rightly deserve, accept Jesus death as payment for our sins, and live our lives in obedience to Him, we can praise Him in the light of His love and mercy.
