Pastor Jason Pace's sermon continues His journey Into the Wilderness by examining how establishing rhythms impact our lives. He emphasizes the importance of creating patterns in our relationship with God. Starting with the analogy of being part of God's story, he ties the concept of the experiences of the Israelites in Exodus into our story today. In Exodus, God instructs the Israelites to build a sanctuary through offerings, illustrating God's yearning for intimacy with His people. Jason asserts that our contributions, measured in time, talents, or resources, indicate our devotion to God and should be given cheerfully. He ties the significance of faith to the veiling of God's presence in the holy of holies in the temple, asserting that faith stems from trust and belief, not physical evidence. Faith is a valuable treasure, and where we place our faith defines our priorities. Jason explains how rhythms, such as prayer, Bible reading, fellowship with other believers, service, giving, celebration, and communion, can help maintain a close relationship with God.
